On March 2, 2567, the Student Development and Support Division (DSSD) organized the 6th edition of the WU Happy Fun Run event. The opening ceremony was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Urai Jaraeprapal, Vice President of Walailak University. The event took place at the French Garden Activity Area, Walailak Medical Center, with participants starting their run from the French Garden to the Chalanasun Reservoir and back, covering a distance of 5 kilometers.
The event saw participation from university executives, faculty members, staff, and over 2,000 students. Additionally, there were members of the public who engaged in physical activities within the Walailak University campus area and showed interest in the event.
The WU Happy Fun Run event serves as a platform for Walailak University students to learn and develop discipline and self-responsibility. It aims to foster a learning environment where students volunteer to assist university activities in various roles. This initiative aligns with the university’s student development framework, emphasizing values such as patriotism, loyalty, discipline, volunteering, and leadership development.
Furthermore, the event encourages students to engage in physical activities to promote their health and wellbeing. Participants also had the opportunity to admire the beautiful scenery around the Walailak Medical Center and Chalanasun Reservoir. Overall, the participants expressed high satisfaction with the event, with 93% reporting the highest level of satisfaction.
