On July 2, 2022 from 5.00 a.m., students and staff of Walailak University joined the 1st WU Happy Fun Run activity on the route Thai Buri Building – Walailak Park – Medical Center. (Total distance 5.6 kilometers)
Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University presided over the opening ceremony and presented the prizes to the winners of each category with executives staff and students of Walailak University Interested in joining more than 2,000 people.
Runners register at 5 a.m. and at 6:00 a.m. Warm Up participants with stretching leaders lead exercises to warm up. At 6.20, Professor Sombat Thamrongthanyawong opens the activity and release the runner.
The 1st WU Happy Fun Run activity was the idea of the Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong expecting students living in the university dormitories, especially first-year students, to participate in activities to promote health and exercise. They also build pride in the institution through running to visit important places of the university.
