Vice President of Student Support & Development

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Voravuth Somsak, the lecturer of School of Allied Health Sciences as the Acting Vice President of Walailak University. He performs duties to supervise the operation of the Division of Student Support & Development and other agencies assigned by the rector.

The Head of Student Support & Development Division

Mrs. Kobsuk Orachorn, an operating line employee who has been selected to act as the primary supervisor of the Student Support & Development Division. DSSD is divided into 3 Sections, emphasizing on flexibility, unity and efficiency in serving students.

Student Activity Promotion and Alumni Relations Section

Promoting activities of student organizations at all levels, such as Student Union, Student Councils, Student Clubs of various schools, Student Clubs, Student Dormitory Committees as well as students who want to do activities and gather in groups by providing promotion both in the form of budget and giving advice on how to write a project, Project Management and Summary. In addition, it is also a department that coordinates student participation in various institutions, such as participating in university sports competitions. participation in various academic conferences and presenting student representatives for selection to receive various awards such as the selection of students for the Royal Award, Walailak Award. Moreover, the department also coordinate and communicate to university alumni network in every province, and organize fundraising activities for scholarships for current students.

Guidance and Schoolarship Section

Provide services and welfare to students, including scholarship services. Health insurance services Guidance and Counseling Services to support students with academic and adjustment difficulties. The department arranges Smile & Smart Center, the co-working space for students at Thai Buri Building. Smile & Smart Center is part of the Student Support Network held by every faculty. Tutor Center, located at the assembly building nearby Dormitory 14, keeps an eye out for students who need help. The Tutor Center will coordinate with tutors to review the subjects that students need.

General Management and Administration Section

It is responsible for facilitating the operation of various departments in Student Support & Development  (DSSD) Office. Budget Management performance reporting, internal control coordinating organization budget plans, reporting indicators at the university level and providing Information Technology to the Smart Office. It also facilitates students in presenting documents such as advice on requesting a car, meeting rooms, venues, borrowing audiovisual materials and producing printed materials for student activities. Moreover, we corperate with the Royal Thai Army the postponement of male students age 21. The Electricity Vehicle Service is under the section.
