On the 31st of June 2022, Associate Professor Doctor Voravuth Somsak, Acting Vice President of Walailak University, opens of the World No Tobacco Day 2022 campaign at Academic Building 5 (5301), Walailak University. The campaigns consisted of “Pouring Alcohol and Burning Cigarettes” as the symbol to show that Walailak University not allow its staffs and students to smoke or drink in the campus. The discussion session with the speakers from Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, Foundation for the Protection of Children, Youth and Families Victims affected by smoking and the staff of the Division Student Support and Development (DSSD). Closing the event with a walking campaign to raise awareness of smoking cessation together with other nations around the world. More than 200 students participated in this event.
